Position Description:

Team member assisting with business and/or technical analysis of requirements to implement Medicaid Provider Incentive Program and assessing health information exchange and health information technology capabilities.

 

 

Responsibilities:

·       Participate in interviews and facilitated sessions with stakeholders and prepare meeting documentation

·         Guide and provide input to State and team members within specified area of expertise

·         Conduct analysis of survey data, program policy and manuals, and system technical or user documentation

·         Identify recommendations and prepare reports of findings

·         Assist in developing presentations to train, inform, Medicaid program staff, Medicaid providers, SMHP stakeholders and consumers upon request

·         Participate in IT strategy sessions, document technology roadmap, and prepare deliverables as assigned by Project Manager

·         Work with FOX Quality Control to ensure quality of deliverables

 

 

Goals:

 

Serve on a team performing interviews, conducting assessments, and planning for a Medicaid Provider Incentive Program, including preparation of the SMHP.. 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters preferred

·         Must have prior government or insurance healthcare program operations experience; Medicaid and/or CHIP program experience preferred

·         Minimum of 5 years experience with business, technical, and policy issues related to health information technology and health information exchange

·         Knowledge of and experience working with HIT standards such as WEDI X12N, HL7, LOINC, and HITSP.

·         Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

·         Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

·         Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference

·         Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical

·        Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

·         Must have working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint, e-mail, and Internet software

 

 

Education/Experience:

Master’s degree (MA) or equivalent; or four to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
