Position Description:

Directly supervises consulting staff working on project.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include overseeing project team, planning and directing work assignments, leading facilitation sessions for consensus gathering, preparing and giving presentations to executive management, managing client expectations, budget and schedule, and resolving problems.

 

 

Responsibilities:

·         Supervises and provides performance reviews of consultant staff on project

·         Lead and direct activities necessary to complete assessment and develop State Medicaid HIT Plan (SMHP)

·         Conduct interviews and facilitates sessions with key business executives across multiple business units to identify goals and strategies to implement SMHP

·         Develop presentations for executive staff to inform, train, gather consensus from Medicaid providers, SMHP stakeholders and consumers upon request

·         Lead onsite team to perform MITA business, information and technical architecture assessment and gap analysis activities within Medicaid programs

·         Participate in IT strategy sessions and develop a technology roadmap to support a phased approach to planning for Section 4201 of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) requirements

·         Work with FOX Quality Control to ensure quality of deliverables

·         Coordinate on time delivery of all required deliverables to client.

 

 

Goals:

 

Assist State Medicaid Programs in fulfilling ARRA Section 4201 requirements to implement a Medicaid Provider Incentive Program, including preparation of the SMHP. 

Qualifications:

·        Must have prior Medicaid program experience

·         Minimum of 5 years project management experience; PMP certification from PMI preferred

·         Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

·        Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

·         Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

·         Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference

·         Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical

·         Ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concepts variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.

·         Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

·         Must have working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint, e-mail, and Internet software

 

 

Education/Experience:

Master’s degree (MA) or equivalent; or four to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
